St James Church was built in 1851 with the Fellowship room being added on in 1991
The 8.00 am service is a said Communion Service you will be given a notice /service sheets and directed up to the Chancel area where this quiet service is held.
If you come to the 10.00am Service it will be a little busier you will be greeted in the fellowship room and given a notice sheet . Some weeks the service will be projected onto the screen other weeks you will be given a service sheet to follow. These services are held in the main body of the Church feel free to go in and sit anywhere you feel suits you. The 6.30pm Services are also held in the main body of the Church usually fewer people attend the evening services.
If you come by car there are a few places on the road to park and you are very welcome to park on the Church Hall car Park which is behind the Church on Vicarage Road. The main entrance to the Church is on a gentle slope from the road, but there are several paths around the Church you can gain access on the level. In the Church itself you can gain access to all areas of the Church with a gentle ramp up to the Chancel/ Sanctuary area. CLICK HERE for directions/Map
As you enter the main Church door you come into the Fellowship room, straight ahead is the entrance to the Worship area where our services happen. There are toilets and baby changing facilities in the fellowship room and after each service we welcome you to stay and have a cuppa and a chat before you leave
